About how much will Car Insurance for me cost?

I am a male. I am 16 almost 17. I am about to buy a car, I am looking for one now. About how much will it cost for a normal sized car? Not a sport car. Also I was told that my insurance can be lowered with my grades? I have straight A's.

I constantly see those commercials that say get the minimum required car insurance. And i'm wondering is that really a good idea, and what does that really even cover when you get into an accident?

Insurance to drive another car?

I work on a farm and I have to drive across fields and stuff to get around. Sadly, I currently have to do this in my own car so I was thinking of buying a cheap car so I don't ruin my actual car in the process. I can't leave the car at the farm, so it would need to be road legal (taxed, MOTed and Insured) Is there any insurance you can get where you can be insured on both cars but on one policy? (Sort of like what car traders use where they can drive any car that isn't registered to them)

Where to find a dental insurance/plan that provides full coverage(if not 100% something close)?

I am sick and tired of being robbed over and over by those dental offices...whatever my dental plan says it saves on me they always come up with something to make me pay as I am not insured at all! I am willing to pay more for and expensive dental plan/insurance that covers me 100% or very close from that(=> 80%) I just don't want to go through the price of each service I get from the dental office because its useless! ... and please don't post me links to those websites that collects my private information just to give me quotes! What do you like most about tying health insurance to employment?

Isn't it a good way to keep employees in line? I mean, well, if you're not happy here, you can always quit and do something you like, but your COBRA insurance will eventually run out and you'll either need to find another job with benefits, not necessarily the job you want, so it looks like you're sticking around for some time.....no freelancing or working two part-time jobs you like for you! I like this system because it keeps my employees from quitting, particularly the ones with pre-existing conditions or family members with pre-existing conditions. I can get what I want out of them by using the health-care lasso ( go ahead and quit, but try seeing how much a private policy will cost you if you're lucky enough to get accepted with what you've got! ), plus there is no need to worry about competition from freelancers or small businesses. I like tying benefits to employment because as an employer I have a way of keeping my employees in line. If they act up or talk about branching out into something else, I just have to remind them of where they get their affordable benefits and how they would lose this corporate pool if they were to go out on their own, work for a small business without benefits, work freelance or go back to school full time. Keeps my workforce dedicated.

Motorcycle cost monthly?

Hey guys, I have some questions for you. I am 17 years old, and want to buy my first motorcycle (supermoto). I think I have a good idea on what it costs, but i'm just unsure. First off, i'll need to get my license. What'll that cost me? (California). I do have a car license, so getting the motorcycle license should be short and sweet, but i dont know. secondly, i'm going to get some motorcycle gear. I figure I'll be in 500$ with both license and gear (nice used leathers probably). Then i am going to get the bike which costs $4000. Being a supermoto, the insurance should be cheaper right? DRZ400sm if that helps. So between monthly payments and insurance, I should be in... 200$ a month? then gas, social life, blah blah. What do you think I need to be making monthly to make this happen. I bring in 500$ a month, and have 600$ in the bank as of now.

I know a speeding ticket will show up on your insurance and cause it to be quite a bit more than it was, but do any other less than obvious types affect your insurance? For example, my town has a completely pointless ordinance in which their residents are not allowed to park their cars in the street between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM, unless you call the police that night and let them know that your car will be in the street, and then they'll just ignore your car if they see it. Well, I decided to rebel and not call last night, so, I wake up this morning to find a nice (still cheap, luckily) ticket on my window. I didn't call because I have gotten away with it each time before, so I figured maybe they don't check my neighborhood. Go figure. But I just don't want my insurance going up because of this and I'm not sure if all tickets are sent to the insurance company. Thanks in advance!

About a year ago my husband and I sold a car. We went through the usual channels with dealing with the plates, calling the insurance company and so on. Well today we got our yearly insurance cards in the mail and didn't recognize one of the cars they had given us a card for so I went over the statement. It turns out they have been billing us for insurance on a car we sold over a year ago. We never really noticed how much we should be paying in insurance for our cars and only get our statement once a year with these cars. We only pay $1504 a year for what we thought was two cars and I had assumed that was pretty good. In fact we were paying for three cars and an extra $663 a year on the car we sold. I haven't contacted the insurance company yet but my question is what are my options here? Will they give us the money back for the year we payed on a car we legally sold and what do they need, if any, proof of that? We have paperwork of the sale but no real proof we called them to inform them to take the car off the insurance. Will that we enough?

Insurance guy lied, my fun sporty little 04 Mitsubishi eclipse gt (5 speed manual v6) was actually going to be $200 more monthly than he said it would be. It was fun to learn how to drive it.
